the definition of the sins on seven vices may be different from the definitions of the sins on other sites. the idea was to leave the personalities of the horses open for interpretation and to not restrict what personalities may be. please don't correct it unless you are really bothered by a definition.
example (for reference) SIN / definition ; what the sin is and the usual personality for that sin. do not feel be bound by this personality, we are not restrictive on personalities here. however, we don't usually see prideful horses that are sloth unfortunates, so keep it in mind. curse ; an explanation of why the power is what it is. points ; {# points} this'll tell you what power you have when. everyone starts at zero with no power. please do not go beyond this power chart. you get 3 points each post you make, so just keep posting, loves.
PRIDE / definition ; excessive love of self and excessive belief in one's own abilities that often interferes in relationships. also known as vanity. curse ; as a pride unfortunate, these horses generally hold themselves above others. almost, or even exactly, as if they're more important. points ; {0 points} no power {45 points} can hover 2-3 feet above the ground. cannot move, only hover. literally cannot move their feet, it will break concentration and they will fall to the ground. {150 points} can move while hovering above the ground. it's not a glide or something like flight, the horse must walk as if he or she were walking on ground, otherwise they will not get anywhere. {300 points} forget the strange walking movement, the horse can now glide above the ground, up to 15 feet in the air. careful, though, such things require concentration, and to lose concentration while so high is deadly. {1500 points} it's a long ways to go, but if a pride unfortunate is lucky, they can gain wings - quite like that of a raven's - and fly anywhere, with only the restrictions placed on birds to hold them back.
ENVY / definition ; the desire for another's traits, status, ability, or situation and/or the unhappiness in one's own. the desire for something someone else has which they perceive themselves lacking. curse ; envy unfortunates spend much of their life wishing to be someone else or wishing they had something else. points ; {0 points} no power {45 points} the power to change their appearance! simply a color change that only lasts for ten minutes. there is no limit to color, but it is merely a solid color. {150 points} at this point the unfortunate can create markings on their body and make themselves appear to be someone entirely different than they truly are. it is still limited to simple colors, though. {300 points} now this curse turns into a sort of camouflage, the lucky ability to make their coat look like anything, something especially easy if you are standing by it. it is almost like turning oneself invisible, if only it lasted longer than a couple days. {1500 points} oh, the lucky ones! a permanent change in appearance, whenever one is wanted or needed! like a new start every day. careful, though, one can never know the trouble such things can cause.
GLUTTONY / definition ; the desire to consume more of any thing than one needs or requires. any form of thoughtless excess marked by unreasonable or unnecessary consumption, not limited to food and drink. gluttony could also include certain forms of destructive behavior, especially for sport, but even for its own sake. curse ; always wanting more, never having enough. nothing can satisfy the gluttony unfortunate, no matter how much they already have. points ; {0 points} no power {45 points} the gluttony unfortunate can duplicate any object as many times as is wanted. unfortunately, this is only a poor replica of the original object, fading away after so long. {150 points} nearly realistic replicas, now. a magic trick, a show for the show-off. still, it only lasts as long as it did before, disappearing within the day it was duplicated. {300 points} a realistic replica, lasting almost as long as is desired! can it get any better? everything wanted in the world, right before one's eyes! remember, it still does not last forever and it is certainly not real. don't fool yourself. {1500 points} replication of oneself? not possible, you say? not true! at this point, the horse can replicate himself. then there are two! careful, though, nothing is as good as it seems.
LUST / definition ; an unusual craving for a certain pleasure. simply the excessive love of others. nearly the opposite of pride (the excessive love of self). curse ; to spend one's life longing for another but hardly getting a thing in return can be lonely. points ; {0 points} no power {45 points} perhaps the strangest of the powers, the lust unfortunate can act like cupid when it comes to horses of the opposite gender. make them think they've fallen in love with you. however, what they do with that is their choice. there is no control at this point, thought. one horse at a time, ladies and gents. {150 points} did that love - the small existence that it is - not last long enough for you? perhaps the horse did not understand his feeling of love, or did not do as you wished about it. now comes the added ability of control, but only in the matters of love. make them do want you want. fetch me a burger! just remember, anything to ridiculous, they could snap out of it. also, don't attempt to control five horses into loving you. it doesn't work. {300 points} make your herd, or anyone outside, devoted. not only in matters of love, horses! make them love you as a mother, a sister, a daughter. make them willing to do whatever you ask without questioning it. i only hope, for your sake, that your herd is not too large. oh, the strength you'll lose! {1500 points} still no one to love? the constant renewal of forced love on top of your herd's devotion is draining, i suppose. make one, and I mean one, love you forever. devoted without question. lose your ability to make others fall in love, though. perhaps it is unfair. you don't need your powers for that, though, right?
ANGER / definition ; the exact opposite of love; inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. can manifest as vehement denial of the truth, both to others and in the form of self-denial, impatience, and the desire to seek revenge, fanatical political beliefs, and generally wishing to do evil or harm to others curse ; anger. perhaps defineable as the extreme desire to do something to someone to cause them the pain you feel they've caused you. a payback. revenge is a dish best served cold. points ; {0 points} no power {45 points} manipulate the fears of others. know their fear. cause them to be afraid. veeerryy afraid. of you. of what you can do to them. doesn't matter if you can't do it. let them think you can. fear is the one thing no one can control. except you. just, don't make it too dramatic or put it on too strong. you can't do it. little things. use the little things. {150 points} scary! don't just make them feel afraid, give them visions, make them see the fear that they're also feeling. scare 'em away quick, though, 'cause this one's actually got a time limit. {300 points} addition to the previous two! no time limit, no limit to strength. except yours, of course. don't wear yourself out. perhaps you'll begin to scare yourself, and we all know you don't want that. {1500 points} fear is the heart of love. ever heard it? it's true, i suppose. turn that fear into something else. not love, no. that's what the lust unfortunate is for. make them sell their souls to you, perhaps? i don't know. use your head, anger unfortunates. i know you have them, if you haven't lost it already.
GREED / definition ; similar to envy and gluttony. the desire for more than was it is currently had or owned. to want. curse ; greed. not only the extreme consumption or need for something. it's the wanting, the needing want is not there. seeing it, but not really seeing it. crazy! sort of. points ; {0 points} no power {45 points} does it start to feel similar now? are these things overlapping yet? make those in front of you see things that aren't there. cause hallucinations. only, you can only make them see things. not smell. not hear. just see. a silent movie, right before their interested eyes. {150 points} give them a bit of smell. make it feel more real. a 4D movie, only without the sound. trust me, though. these horses, they're smart. don't make it too unrealistic. one moment of doubt and your spell, if we can call it such, is broken. {300 points} now add the hearing, what do you get? a vision so real they'll think it's true! maybe a hawaiian beach, or a desert in the middle of nowhere. make them see, hear, feel, smell, touch. make them know they're there, even if they know they're not. seriously, though. cool it with the drama. they're still pretty smart. {1500 points} do it from far away! make their whole life an illusion. let them walk away thinking they are someone they're not somewhere they're not. use it to your advantage, you greedy little beasts. you can make their life a lie. make them crazy. a bit of a laugh, really.
SLOTH / definition ; the avoidance of physical work. usually forcing work on others. curse ; ever seen a sloth? they're rather lazy creatures. never seem to do anything. move slowly, too. this is only a guess, but they probable spend their lives wishing someone could do everything for them. am i right? points ; {0 points} no power {45 points} mind control is a rather difficult subject. one must find themselves in the innermost part of another being's mind, and speak into their head. it's not a simple taking their brain and making it yours. give them directions that they have no choice but to follow. unfortunately, they'll know it's you. they probably can fight it, too. careful. {150 points} deeper, deeper. the deeper into one's mind you go, the easier it is to not only see the things they care about the most, but to make them think that what you want them to do is really want they want to do. it's natural to fight, though. don't be too reckless with your delving. {300 points} plant thoughts, how great is that? give them a memory that never really happened. this isn't a simply speaking of words, though. see the picture, create the scene in your head, then plant it in theirs. don't be stingy, the more recent it is, the better they'll remember. do it right, they'll never forget. they'll believe it's true. what's worse than one's own memories lying to them? nothing. nothing's worse. {1500 points} enough with the control. read it. see what they're thinking, know what they're thinking. use it against them. make them your minion, forever in your grasp. do what you want, you've reached the highest point. just be careful not to fall. it's a long way down.
